The 1980s called and they want Steel Panther back… Actually they don’t because of all of their degenerate antics, but that’s okay Starr, Statchel, Stix, and Spyder can stay in the present with us because snowflakes don’t exist in this modern age of Tinder, OnlyFans, Spotify (what’s a vinyl?) and Amazon Prime. Everybody at the packed House of Blues in Dallas, TX can agree with that. On their current On the Prowl tour, in support of their latest and sixth album release titled… yep you guessed it, On the Prowl (How original! Naming it the same as the album. They could’ve named it something else like Hunting for Some Cougars in a Maserati While Playing the Bitchin New Album from Steel Panther, On the Prowl on the Radio Tour, or Lexxi Should Have Left Us His Hair Spray and Mirror When He Left the Band Tour, but who am I? I am not in Steel Panther, I’m just a person behind the computer typing this article)

Steel Panther brought Tragedy and Crobot in support for the tour. Tragedy I have never heard of prior to this day, which they gained a new follower on the internets because their performance was ridiculously good, how many bands do you know that can cover Slayer’s Raining Blood and mix it with The Weather Girls’ Its Raining Men? Crobot is another amazing band with the very talented singer, Brandon Yeagley. Both bands were amazing picks to warm up the fans during this tour.

The fans were ready to feel the steel as Steel Panther stormed into the stage kicking off the night with Eyes of a Panther, as song fitting to get everyone energized for a wild night that was set to come. Speaking of energized, the newest member of the band, Spyder, did an incredible job fitting into the band. It shouldn’t surprise anyone, because he helped them fit in for Lexxi during a European tour and he was also the bass player in the Van Halen cover band Michael Starr was in during the 90s. The band brought 14 songs with them and reminded us that it’s okay to bone your step-sister, bungee jump from a 747, and party like tomorrow its the end of the world. Is it really a Steel Panther concert if Starr didn’t remind us that he is God’s best work all in one place because he has the perfect body, the perfect face, and all the magical gifts he has? It must be a burden of being wonderful. They also performed two songs from their latest album release, On the Prowl. 1987 and Ain’t Dead Yet were very well received by the live Dallas audience. Encore of the night were two crowd favorites, Community Property from 2009’s Feel the Steel and Gloryhole from the band’s third album release, All You Can Eat. I can say as time passes Steel Panther ages better and better. Lexxi is missed very much, but they found someone who can do the job very well. At the end of night they sent the fans happy. A happy ending to a wild night.
